Help Bring Ancestral European Healing Into Modern Life and Preserve the Traditions Our Grandmothers Fought to Protect
Your support ensures that nature-based healing systems restoring connection to self, body, others, nature, spirit, and ancestry can thrive - and brings pirts practitioners to communities everywhere.
For thousands of years, Baltic people tended to the body, spirit, and land through sacred song (dainas), plant medicine, and pirts, a sauna ritual where birth, healing, and community once took place. These practices carried a lineage of nature-based knowledge through occupation, war, and exile - preserved largely by women.
Today, as interest in ancestral healing and ecological belonging rises, many are searching for exactly what some Baltic people never forgot - a worldview where the Earth is alive, relationship is medicine, and wholeness comes through returning to nature.
Baltic Wisdom was created to protect this lineage and make it accessible - responsibly, ethically, and with cultural integrity - to all who feel called to learn.
Your tax-deductible contribution directly supports:
Research and translation of essential Latvian healing texts
Development of the first English-language Pirts School
Training, certification, and support for new practitioners
Digital learning platforms, workshops, and educational materials
Collaborations with Latvian healers, scholars, and culture-keepers
Every gift helps!
